Following our successful campaigns, I am so pleased that the Otford and Swanley fast line to London Bridge (which terminates at Charing Cross) has been so popular. And, due to your support we have together been able to secure additional services for the morning rush hour.
I regularly speak to many of you who are benefiting from it, and as I have said many times before, I have a huge smile on my face every time I see it on the board at the station.
However, ever since the service started last year, I have been making the case to Southeastern for the additional trains in the evening to replicate the half-hourly morning rush hour services, enabling passengers to get home more easily.
From the many emails I have received from residents explaining how beneficial additional evening services would be, you clearly agree. Therefore to show the strength of feeling on this, I have below launched a petition! (The last ones have been so successful, I’m repeating the formula!)
The petition will be open until 17th February 2024, when I will then share it with Southeastern to show support for change.
