Mental Health Awareness Week

Tomorrow marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and this year’s theme is kindness. At a time when many of us are socially isolating, stories of kindness have helped spread a shared sense of connection and joy.

Health and Social Care Committee - maternity services

Maternity services have understandably had to adapt quickly to the COVID-19 outbreak. The wards have done a terrific job at putting new parents at ease, during what can be a daunting time even in normal circumstances.

Kent Household Waste Recycling Centres to open on 15th May

It is great news that from Friday 15th May Kent County Council Household Waste Recycling Centres will re-open to the public for essential use. I know their closure has caused difficulties, and I have been asking Kent for them to be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
