Laura Trott MP thanks Care Home staff and residents to mark CareHome Week 2021

Care Home Week

To mark the end of Care Home Open Week #CHOW2021, this morning I met with the managers of Lavender Field Care Home in Seal, Weald Height Care Home in Sevenoaks and Rivermere Care Home in Chipstead – and it was fantastic that some residents were able to join too.

I used the call to thank all the staff for their tremendous hard work over the last year. Throughout the pandemic the management and staff have done their best to keep residents safe, entertained and as connected with their families as possible.

I also listened to their very valid ongoing concerns regarding recruitment and a roadmap to normality - especially when it comes to visiting and seeing their family and loves ones. I have already requested a meeting with the Minister, Helen Whately, and will be raising the points discussed.
