Following my letter on behalf of residents’ in relation to their objections to the Croudace Development on Brittains Lane, I am delighted to be able to tell you that the Appeal against the decision of Sevenoaks District Council to refuse to grant planning permission has been dismissed. This is a great result and is an important point of principle – Green Belt land should not be built upon without the consent of local people.
A massive thank you to Avril Hunter and Andrew Eyre, who were the local Conservative councillors at the time of the original application, to Sevenoaks District Council for fighting the appeal and to the Brittains Lane Association who raised money to help oppose the proposal.
When we work together we can - and will - project our precious Green Belt.
