Budget 2021

Local businesses and the self-employed have been very hard hit in the last year, and I have done all I can to support them and make representations on their behalf. I am delighted that in the Budget today a number of those conversations have been heard and answered.

In my speech to the House of Commons I referenced Jenny Pollard who is self employed and runs a nail business in Otford, The Royal Oak pub in New Ash Green, Danish Collection - Sevenoaks and Marcos in Sevenoaks.. These are just a few of the many local people and businesses who have been offered a lifeline by today’s announcements of widened and continuing financial support.
