Laura Trott MP visits Tarmac Sevenoaks Quarry with Sevenoaks District Council leader Cllr Peter Fleming

Hidden away beyond Bat & Ball station is the Tarmac Sevenoaks Quarry. Given the Quarry is now reaching the end of its working life, this week I visited the site, alongside Sevenoaks District Council Official Leader Cllr Peter Fleming, to discuss what’s next.

I was talked through the plans, both for housing and for green spaces – including the lake which will provide leisure activities for the local community.

We discussed the (much needed) roundabout at the Bat & Ball junction, which is part of the scheme, GP capacity, women’s safety at night and walking and cycling routes.

Throughout this process, my job is to make sure that local people’s views and concerns are heard, and I will continue to do so as the site develops.
