It was wonderful to visit Hextable Primary School and spend time with the excellent Head Suzie Hall, her Deputy and SENCo Sue Hammond, and of course the wonderful pupils.
Suzie has been incredibly supportive of my campaign to ban smartphones from schools, so it was great to hear about her work in this space, as well as the ongoing challenges surrounding Education, Health and Care Plans. The pupils in Years 5 and 6 also asked me a range of excellent questions and it was a pleasure to formally open the school’s new outdoor gym — which the children were clearly very excited about.
