Following the fantastic turnout and lively debate at my Sevenoaks panel on smartphones in schools, I’m now bringing the conversation to Swanley for local parents and teachers.
The event will take place on Tuesday 4th November 2025, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, at St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Swanley.
As before, the evening will explore the impact of smartphones on young people, and how we can work together to build a healthier, safer digital environment for children. We will be bringing together a fantastic panel of speakers to discuss issues ranging from mental health and online safety to learning and social development, including:
- Giovanna McRae, Headteacher, St Bartholomew’s Primary School
- Matthew Scott, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner
- Arabella Skinner, Health Professionals for Safer Screens
- A representative from the campaign organisation Smartphone Free Childhood
The event will include a panel discussion followed by a Q&A, giving parents, teachers and school leaders the opportunity to share their views and ask questions.
Advance registration is required due to limited space, so to reserve your place, please sign up through the Eventbrite registration here.
