This is a hugely worrying and uncertain time for everyone, but I have been truly heartened and inspired by the response across Sevenoaks and Swanley. From individuals, to local organisations and businesses, the community really has come together.
I am delighted to be launching the “Community Hero of the Week” in partnership with the Sevenoaks Chronicle, which will seek to recognise those who are making outstanding contributions during this crisis to the local community.
Whilst I hear daily of acts of kindness and selflessness, I’m sure this simply scratches the surface and I look forward to receiving nominations from throughout the constituency.
Details of how to nominate an individual, organisation or business can be found below. The coming period is going to be tough but with courage, compassion and community spirit we will get through this outbreak together.
How to nominate an individual, organisation or business:
If you know of an individual, organisation or business who has been making a real difference to the community during these difficult times please:
- Email email@example.com
- The email should:
- Identify who you are nominating
- Provide a short description (no more than 500 words) on what they have been doing to support the community during these difficult times
- Share contact details of both yourself and the nominee
- Please try to include a photo of the individual or business so we can profile them on our social media channels if successful
Alternatively, you can complete the online nomination form below.
Nominations will be open for the entire competition, and each Monday we will announce that week’s hero. To see previous winners, please visit: https://www.lauratrott.org.uk/news
Good luck! I look forward to reading about all the nominees and thank you to everyone who is working so hard to keep our community safe during the COVID-19 virus.
